Study Notes: To go no more out.

A Very close friend of mine said there favorite Scripture was Alma 7:23, this caused me to study Alma 7.

When reaching verse 25, i decided to look up the phrase “To go no more out” as it wasn’t exactly clear to me and felt I could develop more understanding there and deepen my conversion of this chapter.

22 And now my beloved brethren, I have said these things unto you that I might awaken you to a sense of your duty to God, that ye may walk blameless before him, that ye may walk after the holy order of God, after which ye have been received.

23 And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive.

24 And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works.

25 And may the Lord bless you, and keep your garments spotless, that ye may at last be brought to sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the holy prophets who have been ever since the world began, having your garments spotless even as their garments are spotless, in the kingdom of heaven to go no more out.

Alma 7 22-25

I came across someone [1] speaking about

a) its veracity and deep meaning, further proving the Book of Mormon, and within it Alma, being a prophet so on..

b) The meaning, importantly

I’ll delve into the meaning here.

The quote is found five times in the Book of Mormon and twice in the bible, one in each of the 2 testaments within the Bible. We learn from the Prophets when something is repeated taught oft, it is important.

The quote that has stuck out to me is in the Book of Revelations

First i’ll cover that it seems “to go no more out” likely means, that since we are on earth, we have gone out of Our Fathers presence from the premortality, and once we are exaltated, and “return back better” as Bradley R. Wilcox puts it. we will never go more out of the Father’s or Jesus Christ’s Presence once more. We go home. Living in families forever. A Perfect Plan

So, Revelation 3:11-12 (KJV)

11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Explained: Hold onto what you have/regarding the Truth, Righteousness & Light of Christ. That no man (Satan/Adversarial Natural man) takes your crown. Crown is shown in book of revelations as many are Crowned with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, (Also seen in Romans 8) but that out of humbleness they are thrown down before them. There Exaltation. and not just a hold onto now and then, Hold fast, just as how Lehi & Nephi describe the Iron rod, wich is the word of God as y’all learn from primary. Means to continually hold onto, endure to the end. The admonition of Paul.

12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Isn’t that just wow. “Him that overcometh [endures to the end, attends temple, makes and keeps covenants]” made a pillar in the Temple of God. And that we do not have to go no more out once again, it’ll be over, and as solidified as gold, Eternal Perspective. Romans 8:17-18 Showcased rather. Puts in perspective why people taught by The Master Teacher put the 2 ideas next to each other, Exultation and Overcoming/Eternal Perspective.
